Does Push automatically categorize apps it discovers?

Yes, Push will assign categories to apps it inventories based on the app’s purpose, e.g. AI / ML apps, file-sharing apps, IT apps, finance apps, messaging apps, etc.

These categories are managed by Push and cannot be edited. If you wish to add your own custom categories to apps, you can assign custom labels.

You can view automatically assigned app categories in the Push admin console by going to Inventory > Apps. You can also filter by category.

You can also use these categories as part of the scope of a control rule for controls like App banners.
