Can Push identify when employees are syncing browser profile data?
Yes. The Push browser extension observes the email address of the user authenticated in to the browser, as well as whether the employee has enabled sync for that browser, allowing data to be shared across browsers.
Common security risks associated with syncing browser data include:
Storing corporate credentials in browser password managers that are synced to a personal (unmanaged) device.
Inadvertently syncing sensitive corporate information to browsers synced to a personal (unmanaged) device.
In the Push admin console, you can check which employees have enabled sync on a browser profile by going to Investigate > Browsers and using the filter for Profile sync.
You can also sort the Browsers data by whether Push has observed non-company email domains signed in to the browser. From the filters, select Profile email > Non-company domains.
Note: Company domains are defined by Push admins on the Settings page.
