Founded by red team and blue team experts, Push combines high-fidelity browser telemetry, real-time control, and autonomous agents to stop advanced attacks, secure AI usage, harden identities, and prevent data loss — all from your users’ existing browsers, no migration required.

Role Overview

We're a fast-growing cybersecurity startup looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our fully remote team. You'll design, build, and run the large-scale, high-performance systems behind our product, using Python and AWS serverless technologies. As we grow, you'll have a direct hand in how our platform scales, how reliable it is, and how our engineering team works.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Python on AWS serverless infrastructure

  • Ship quickly without cutting corners, pairing fast iteration with solid testing and clear documentation

  • Review code and give thoughtful, constructive feedback that raises the bar for the whole team

  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and product leaders to turn ideas into reliable features

What We're Looking For

  • Expert-level Python and a track record of building and scaling large production systems

  • Hands-on experience with AWS serverless architecture and infrastructure as code (we use AWS CDK)

  • Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases (we use PostgreSQL and DynamoDB)

  • A self-directed, proactive working style suited to a remote-first environment

  • You take ownership of features end to end, from initial concept through to production

  • You keep users at the centre of your decisions, caring about how your work affects their experience.

  • (Preferred) Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.

What We Offer

We take care of our UK team with private medical insurance through Bupa, life assurance for financial peace of mind for your loved ones, and a salary sacrifice pension scheme with a 4% employer contribution.

Fully remote & uncapped PTO: Work from home or a co-working space anywhere in the US, UK, or South Africa.

Stay connected: We reimburse your internet and give you an annual allowance for local city meetups (travel, meals, co-working).

Annual company offsite: An all-expenses-paid trip to a secret destination to work and connect in person.

This information does not constitute a promise of compensation and is subject to the terms of a written offer of employment.

We use an AI notetaker to record, transcribe, and summarize interviews so your interviewer can stay focused on you rather than on typing. The recording and summary are used only by the hiring team involved in this role, are stored in our applicant tracking system, and are not used to make an automated hiring decision — a person reviews everything. If you'd prefer we don't record, just let us know before the call or tell your interviewer at the start, and we'll turn it off. It won't affect your candidacy.
